 "People liked the music and they continually asked for it," says Robinson, "so, that's the reason we thought of making the album. People wanted the music and we didn't have a way to get it to them.".

Robinson formed a publishing company, printed sheet music and made it available, without cost, upon request.
Earnestine Robinson continued to write in her won style which she calls, "easy listening gospel. It's a blend of classical, contemporary and pop gospel, or so I've been told," she says.
As the music continued to be performed, the demands increased, and the idea of producing an album containing a variety of different types of songs was conceived.

Even though Earnestine Rodgers Robinson is primarily known for classical choral music, her first musical production was a contemporary gospel album, “Sounds of a Miracle.”

Produced in 1978, the album was a project that resulted from the collaboration between Earnestine Robinson and her husband, Charles Robinson. The result of this partnership led Earnestine Robinson to branch out in different directions from her classical choral roots to a contemporary style.
As a result, there is a rich diversity that is reflected in the composition of the album, as well as within each song. The first selection, “The Grace of God,” represents a soothing ballad; but, the next song, “The Lord Is Near,” is a more traditional gospel which features a back-and-forth duet interspersed with a pulsating rhythm by the choir. One interesting note in the early concept of the project, Charles Robinson would only produce the album under one condition – that his wife, Earnestine must perform on the album. As a result, an added bonus to this album is the rare performance by the composer herself who sings “The Grace of God.” “Sounds of a Miracle” is truly an inspirational collection of songs that offer praise and glory to God.
